Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP attorneys Robert Glassman and Joe O’Hanlon have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Campbell Hall on behalf of the parents of 15-year-old Cosmo Silverman, a 9th grade student who suffered fatal injuries after being pinned between two vehicles during student pick-up. The lawsuit seeks to hold the K-12 private school in Studio City, California accountable for what plaintiffs describe as severe negligence and systemic failures in supervision and campus safety that contributed to their son’s death.
On June 4, 2025, Cosmo Silverman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Campbell Hall’s Triangle Parking Lot just minutes after the school year ended. The lawsuit alleges the school failed to implement necessary safety improvements to the parking lot before the incident, despite prior complaints from parents about its dangerous design and operation. Plaintiffs further allege that the school’s parking lot practices violated California Code of Regulations Title 5, Article 4, Section 14030(b) and P.A.S.S. guidelines, and that the school only implemented the required safety improvements after Cosmo’s death.
Plaintiffs are seeking damages for negligence, wrongful death, and related claims in an amount to be determined at trial.
