PSR attorneys Erika Contreras and Brigitta Cymerint secured a $4,000,000 settlement on behalf of plaintiff Michael Fox, who suffered devastating leg injuries due to a dangerous condition of public property. While walking near the San Diego Design Center, Mr. Fox stepped from the sidewalk onto a grassy area between the curb and walkway, unaware that the grass concealed a large and hazardous hole. He fell straight into the hidden hole with both feet and became trapped, unable to free himself due to severe pain and the positioning of his legs.
Mr. Fox was transported by ambulance to a local emergency department, where he received emergency treatment. He ultimately required surgery to repair ruptured quadriceps tendons in both legs and underwent extensive medical treatment and physical therapy in an effort to regain mobility. Despite these efforts, he continues to experience chronic pain, limited use of his legs, and lasting physical, emotional, and psychological effects from the incident.
