Daily Journal has named PSR partner Jesse Creed among the 2025 Top 40 Lawyers Under 40. The annual publication recognizes 40 California lawyers under the age of 40 with an individual profile highlighting recent career achievements and provides insight into their practice.
The Daily Journal profile featuring Mr. Creed details his work in the Maui Fire Cases where he serves as one of the lead lawyers representing nearly 20,000 plaintiffs in litigation stemming from the 2023 wildfires. The case resulted in a $4.8 billion global settlement.
It also highlights Mr. Creed’s successful argument before the Hawaii Supreme Court, testifying that plaintiffs had the right to settle their claims without interference from subrogation insurers. The court’s ruling reduced the insurers’ claims, directing more funds to the victims.
Mr. Creed notes during his interview with Daily Journal that Brian Panish serves as his mentor, teaching him that preparation and hard work are key to success. “He has also taught me to be persistent, and even when you get knocked down, to get back up and keep pushing.”
