9,345 Sorentos Recalled By Kia Due to Crash Threats

Posted on August 23, 2013

Sorento automobiles of the 2014 model year that each contain a 2.4 liter engine are being recalled by Kia following a potential error that may have occurred during production.  9,345 vehicles could suffer from the issue, which would find a fracture possibly taking place in the axle shaft on the right front side.  When this occurs, the wheels could fail to function, which would put the vehicles at risk for a crash.  Another crash threat is posed by due to the fact that the wheels could roll away after the vehicle is placed in Park.  Owners should start receiving a notification from Kia at some point next month, and when that occurs, the vehicles can be brought in to a dealer to receive a free component replacement.
