1,596 Trailers and Mobile Homes Recalled by Jayco Over Fire Risk

Posted on September 28, 2012

1,596 Octane Sport Utility travel trailers, as well as Melbourne Class C and Greyhawk Class C motorhomes, of the 2008 through 2011 model years are being recalled by Jayco due to a defect with the transfer switch from Iota.  These switches’ buss bar might have a faulty electrical connection, which could lead the switch itself to melt due to overheating.  A fire hazard is thus posed to drivers.  A replacement switch will be offered by dealers, and owners will receive a notification from Jayco.
