The AT & T anti-texting campaign known as “It Can Wait” is in full swing, and citizens from across the country have until September 19 to make a pledge to never text while behind the wheel of an automobile. The company wants teenage drivers in particular to take up the life-long challenge. AT & T hopes that their efforts will reduce what they estimate to be 100,000 yearly accidents and fatalities that result from texting and driving. Distracted drivers are increasingly being targeted by prosecutors following fatal crashes.
