Brian Panish Named Among Daily Journal’s 2024 Leading Commercial Litigators

Posted on January 24, 2024

For the second consecutive year, the Daily Journal publication has named Brian J. Panish as one of the Leading Commercial Litigators in its annual supplement. The 2024 edition honors 98 of the “best attorneys working within the broad scope of commercial and bet-the-company litigation across the country.”

The profile featuring Mr. Panish highlights his current work on the Maui Fire Cases where he represents hundreds of people and businesses who have filed suit against the utilities believed to be at fault for the wildfires that killed at least a hundred people and destroyed the historic town of Lahaina.

Mr. Panish also discusses he recent results including a $135 million jury verdict obtained for two men who had been abused by their teacher in the 1990s as well as a $32 million settlement from Tulare County after its child welfare department failed to prevent the parents of a baby boy from essentially starving the infant almost to death. The settlement is believed to be the largest against a child protective agency in the state of California for a surviving child of abuse and requires the county to upgrade its policies and case monitoring systems.
